Session 1. Cube and Platform

The first class of Model Making module is making a cube and platform. First, I cut A4 paper curved shapes with a blade, then switch to mount board. Mount board is thicker than paper or ticket card, so I needed much pressure to apply. Second, I cut a square measuring 1000mm (in 1:25 scale) using a scale ruler and add sides to make a cube which measures 1000mm High. Using PVA glue, I put those together. Next, I made a 2440 x 1220 x 400H platform in the same way. The most difficult thing was to consider the thickness of the card or board to make a model which fits accurately. It was my first time to learn about model making and use model making equipments. Using those equipments was a little bit tricky at first, but I think I will get used to it.
