Session 4. Shaping a hat

In session 4, I learned how to shape a hat using a steam iron. First, I cut some fabric and overlapped them to shape of a hat. Using a steam iron, I could shape a hat more easily. After cutting in the shape of a hat, I sewed the edge of the fabric with a sewing machine. Next, I decorated the hat with various materials. I hung the mesh and then put a ribbon and rose that I made. During the winter break, I actually fogot how to use a sewing machine. So, in this session, I learned how to use a sewing machine properly and it was a lot of fun. As a theatre design student, I always had difficulty using a sewing machine. However, I could gain confidence through this class. Also, I like the final result of my hat. This session was not only lots of fun but also satisfying.
